Features:

Directions:

Use a smock or towel to protect your clothing
• Put on the Expert Colourist Gloves.
• Mix up the dye according to the instruction leaflet.
• When dye is mixed, immediately apply the colour to your hair.
• Part your hair into small, even sections using the applicator tip.
• Apply colour first to your roots and stubborn greys.
• Work through hair from root to tip to ensure full saturation, but don’t rub into the scalp.
• Pour any unused colour mixture down the drain as it will lose its effectiveness after an hour.
• If any colour gets on your skin, wipe it off with a damp towel.
• Leave on for 25 minutes or the time indicated by your Strand Test.

Tip: If your greys are really stubborn, it may be necessary to leave colour on for up to 45 minutes.
For Ultra Light Blonde shades, leave the colour on for up to 45 minutes as well.

• Add a small amount of warm water and massage into a lather. Rinse until water runs clear.
• Apply the Colossal Conditioning Gloss to condition and lock in highlights and shine.
• For optimal colour results, leave on for 2 minutes, then rinse thoroughly with warm water.
• Save remaining Colossal Conditioning Gloss and continue to use once a week (after shampooing) in place of your usual conditioner for a total of 6 weeks of optimal colour, shine and softness.

Expert Tips:

• If you have never coloured your hair before, you hair will be almost the same colour from root to tip.
• If you have previously coloured you hair and your root line hair colour is less than 2 shades different than the remainder of your hair, choose your root line hair colour as your starting point.
• For colour that looks truly natural, stay within 1-2 shades lighter or darker than your natural colour.
• If you are going more than two shades lighter than your natural colour, you will get warmer results than perhaps desired.
• If you want to make a tonal effect, gold and auburn shades will add warm tones and highlights and ash shades will add cool tones and highlights.
• If your hair colour is medium to light brown, add subtle or dramatic highlights of gold or blonde throughout your hair, on the tips, on a few strands or in golden chunks.
• If your hair is brunette, be daring with vibrant burgundy highlights or soft coppery streaks.

Keep your new colour fresh and shiny by retouching on a regular basis and by following these colour-care tips:

• Use a shampoo especially formulated for colour-treated hair. The ingredients are gentle, refresh shine and increase manageability. Your colour looks fresher for longer.
• Choose a conditioner for colour-treated hair. If your hair is fine, use a conditioner for fine hair - it's lighter and won't weigh hair down.
• Condition your hair every time you wash it. Conditioners are crucial for maintaining your hair colour. They make hair less porous and help seal in the fresh colour.
• Consider using a leave-in conditioner for all-day moisturising and protection if your hair is very long, thick, dry, damaged, or frizzy.
• A weekly deep-conditioning treatment should be used on coarse or very curly hair to keep in the moisture and maximise manageability. Well-moisturised hair helps keep colour looking shiny.
